On the 15th of November, the National Technical University in Vinnytsia held an international scientific conference titled "The essence and prospects for the introduction of E-democracy in Ukraine." The conference outlined the needs and challenges facing e-democracy processes in Ukraine.
The key speakers included Jordanka Tomkova (Swedish bureau of cooperation’s «Electronic Governance for Government Accountability and Community Participation (EGAP) program), who spoke about the current statues and available tools in the sphere of E- democracy. Andriy Semenchenko (PhD in Public Administration, Professor, Director of the senior executive of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine), Volodymyr Romanenko (the head of department of Information Technology of Vinnytsia city council), and Oksana Grechko (Podolian Agency for Regional Development) focused on the problems facing e-Democracy in Ukraine and announced the launch of the E-Dem Lab portal, where people will be able to access interesting e-democracy information.
