At the end of the previous month, the State Agency for E-Governance of Ukraine received an electronic system X-Road from its Estonian colleagues. In issues according e-democracy, Estonia is a vivid example for imitation, as due to this system, which has been used for 16 years, nearly 98% of public services and elections are held online, as a result, there is no corruption in the public sphere. However, citizens can submit documents in paper form as well. On November 2, after the Internet poll, the Agency assigned the name "Trembita" to the Ukrainian version of this system. The system has already been introduced in 60 countries around the world. Its main idea is to ensure the exchange of data between electronic state registries of various state bodies in real time. Currently, there is a problem with the absence of a personal data protection system in Ukraine, as opposed to the Estonian Inspectorate for Personal Data Protection. This is an obstacle on the way to the implementation of reforms in the sphere of e-democracy. All costs for the implementation of the system are funded by donors: the European Union through the U-Lead Program, the Swiss Agency for International Development and the Government of Estonia through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia. Financing takes place within the framework of international technical assistance.
